The BJP and the AGP have come together once again putting aside their differences for the interest of Assam.
Stating this during a joint press briefing at the BJP headquarters in Guwahati, top party leader Himanta Biswa Sarma said the AGP, BJP and BPF are united in their bid to ensure Narendra Modi becomes Prime Minister again.
The joint briefing came soon after the top brass of AGP visited the BJP headquarters in Guwahati. Sarma added that even though the BJP was firm on its stand on Citizenship Bill, the aprty would take the issue forward through consensus and consultation.
Meanwhile, AGP president Atul Bora said the differences between the AGP and the BJP are being sorted out through consultations. He added that the AGP backs Nerendra Modi as the prime minister again for the development of the region.
Delegations of both the parties will be leaving for the national capital in the evening as BJP president Amit Shah will formally announce the seat sharing between both the parties tomorrow.
