Lok Sabha elections 2019: Assam to vote in three phases

Assam Chief Electoral Officer Mukesh Chandra Sahu said that the final date of filing nominations for the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections is March 25.
A total of 75,16,284 voters will exercise their franchise in the first phase in 9,574 polling stations.
For the second phase of polls the final date of filing nominations is March 26. A total of 68,36,496 voters will caste their votes in 8,992 polling stations.
The final date for filing nominations for the third phase of the elections is April 4. In 9,577 polling stations, 74,07,824 voters will exercise their franchise .
While Tezpur, Kaliabor, Jorhat, Dibrugarh and Lakhimpur will go to polls in the first phase on April 11; voting for Karimganj, Silchar, Autonomous Districts of Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao, Mangaldoi and Nagaon will be held in the second phase on April 18.
The remaining 4 seats which are Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Barpeta and Guwahati will vote in the third phase on April 23rd.
