Asian Games 2018 : Hima Das makes it to finals

Ace sprinter Hima Das has stormed into the finals of the 400m event at the ongoing Asian Games. Hima Das will take part in the final of the 400m tomorrow evening.

Hima Das qualifies for the 400m final at the 18^th Asian Games 2018 currently underway at Jakarta and Palembang after she came second in her heat and second overall clocking 51 seconds. Hima also set a new national record.

Another Indian sprinter Nirmala also secured a place in the 400 metres finals after she won her heat with a timing of 54.09 seconds.

Meanwhile, people across Assam, and more particularly at Dhing, her home town celebrated Hima’s progress to the finals.
