In a tragic incident, a massive fire broke out at Daporijo in Arunachal Pradesh yesterday, where four houses were gutted in fire and reduced to ashes, while six families were rendered homeless.

According to reports, the fire suddenly broke out from a house which later on spread to the adjoining houses of the forest colony. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained and no casualty has been reported so far.

Daporijo MLA Dikto Yekar visited the area to take stock of the situation and expressed his solidarity to the bereaved families. Yekar appealed to the District administration to immediately provide relief to the affected families.

Meanwhile, Bagang Abu youth welfare society appealed to the State government to provide necessary and immediate assistance to the victims.
