Sikkim is celebrating its 43rd official statehood day today.

Commemorating the same, a mega state level function is held in Gangtok today. Various achievers of the state will also be honored with state awards during the occasion.

The celebratory function will be graced by Sikkim Governor, Shriniwas Patil who will be the chief guest of the program, while Sikkim chief minister Pawan Chamling, who recently became the longest serving chief minister in the country, will be the Guest of Honor.
