Union Ministry of Power launches SAUBHAGYA in Meghalaya

Targeting to electrify 14 unelectrified villages in Meghalaya, the Union Ministry of Power launched Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana (SAUBHAGYA) in Meghalaya.

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power and New & Renewable Energy, R.K. Singh said that according to the scheme, around 56,000 rural household in 14 villages which has more than 5O percent of ST/ SC population will be electrified by 30th April.

He also informed that the total unelectrified household in Meghalaya is 1.39 lakh and rest of these houses will be electrified by 31st December this year.
