In a series of ongoing crackdown, Assam Rifles apprehended two NSCN(K) militants in possession of incriminating documents in the Ponyu Murrang area of Lungwa village in Nagaland on Monday.

The militants were arrested during an operation conducted by the Mon Battalion of Assam Rifles along with a police representative based on specific information.

The recovery from the operation included one extortion slip and note books containing details of tax collection and other incriminating documents.

The apprehended, along with recovered items were handed over to the Mon Police Station for further investigation.
