One person was trampled to death while another was critically injured in Brahmajan area under Khatangpani range in Doomdooma forest division on Saturday. The name of the victim is Deb
One person was trampled to death while another was critically injured in Brahmajan area under Khatangpani range in Doomdooma forest division on Saturday.
The name of the victim is Deb Charan Karmakar (45), while the injured who is undergoing treatment at the Digboi civil hospital is Bitin Karmakar.
Doomdooma’s Divisional Forest Officer K.Z.Zinnah attributed the incident to be a fall out of depleting forest cover.
With this incident, at least 3 persons have been killed by wild elephants in Tinsukia district during the last couple of months.
