The age of entrepreneurship has dawned on Northeast India. With entrepreneurs receiving support from the Centre as well as the state governments, new players are emerging in the field that are creating a mark for themselves.
One such player is the Guwahati-based startup Zerund Manufacturing Private Limited.
Now Zerung has emerged as the highest funded startup from Assam after raising 7.8 crore rupees of seed funding from its investors.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma feted Zerund for achieving this milestone recently during an entrepreneurship conclave.
Coupled with the milestone, Zerund is pushing forth on its unique product of sustainable bricks.
Built with a large percentage of waste materials and considerably lighter and long-lasting, Zerund’s bricks are already grabbing eyeballs among investors and now the company is looking to spread its wings on a pan-India level.
