Football fever grips Sikkim as the state organised World Cup festivities in the capital city of Gangtok.

The event was coordinated by the Football Clubs Association of Sikkim in Mahatma Gandhi Marg, the town center of the capital city.

It was an extravaganza of sorts as the entire area was decorated with flags of the 32 participating countries.

A programme compromising of Zumba, Aerobics, DJ Show, Jugglery competition was held. There was also a colourful display by the Sikkim Police band.

A good number of national level football players participated in the event.
