The Indian Football team restricts Qatar to a goal-less draw in the FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifiers in Doha.

Qatar had 27 shots in comparison to just two from India but Indian goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu led from behind and made massive saves to help India to get this big result.

India played most of the match in their own half with Gurpreet Singh Sandhu denying every chance created by the home side. Udanta Singh, from the right wing, created rare chances for India and he was helped on well by Anirudh Thapa.

India will next take on Bangladesh on October 15 in the Group E clash of the World Cup 2022 qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Captain Sunil Chetry took to twitter to describe how proud he is for his team. He said although it is not a big result for the table but it was definitely a big fight. Chetry also congratulated the coaching staff and the dressing room.
