Cadbury Dairy Milk responded to the post and requested Zaccheus to provide more details about his purchase

A young man’s Chocolate Day on Valentine’s Week turned into the most horrible experience ever, after he found a live worm crawling in a bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate he bought.

Robin Zaccheus of Hyderabad on February 9, bought a Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate from a store of Ameerpet metro station in the city for Rs 45.

When he opened the packet, he was disgusted to found a live worm crawling in the chocolate.

Expressing his concern, Zaccheus took to X to share the video of the worm-infested chocolate along with the bill. He questioned the quality check procedures for products nearing expiry and raised concerns about potential public health risks.

“Found a worm crawling in Cadbury chocolate purchased in Ratnadeep Metro Ameerpet today. Is there a quality check for these near to expiry products? Who is responsible for public health hazards?” Zaccheus posted on X.

Soon the post has gone viral on social media and the netizens asked the man to take strict action against the authorities.

One user commented, “Sue them and claim compensation”, while another said “Raise a grievance to the Cadbury team. Will come to collect the sample and investigate.”

“Consult a good lawyer and file a case in the proper court, you may get a higher compensation. Compare company’s similar case compensations domestically and in other countries,” commented another user.

Meanwhile, Cadbury Dairy Milk responded to the post and requested Zaccheus to provide more details about his purchase.

Replying to Zaccheus’s post, the company wrote, “Hi, Mondelez India Foods Private Limited (formerly Cadbury India Ltd) endeavours to maintain the highest quality standards, and we regret to note that you have had an unpleasant experience. To enable us to address your concern, please write to us at [email protected] providing us with your full name, address, phone number and purchase details.
