VPP files FIR against Meghalaya Minister Rakkam A Sangma for hate speech

The Voice Of The People party today filed an FIR against Meghalaya Education Minister and NPP leader Rakkam A. Sangma, seeking action against alleged offensive statements made by the latter.

The Voice Of The People party today filed an FIR against Meghalaya Education Minister and NPP leader Rakkam A. Sangma, seeking action against alleged offensive statements made by the latter. Filing a FIR on behalf of the party, Danny Langstieh, Finance Secretary of the VPP, said that in the run up to the Lok Sabha elections, a video clip went viral showing Rakkam Sangma, making offensive statement against the party during an election meeting. Meanwhile, the police are yet to register the case.
