Virat Kohli scripts history; surpasses Sachin Tendulkar’s record as fastest to 10000 ODI runs

Indian captain Virat Kohli created another record on Wednesday as he went on to surpass Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar to become the fastest batsman to score 10000 runs in ODI.

Indian captain Virat Kohli created another record on Wednesday as he went on to surpass Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar to become the fastest batsman to score 10000 runs in ODI.

The right-handed batsman reached the landmark in the 2nd ODI against West Indies at Visakhapatnam.

The 29-year-old achieved the feat in 205 innings while it had taken Tendulkar 259 innings to do so.

With the feat, Kohli also became the fifth Indian batsman and 13th overall to join the club.

Apart from Kohli and Tendulkar, the other Indian batsmen who have scored over 10000 runs are Sourav Ganguly , Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni.
