Family Dispute Turns Deadly: Parents Killed, Sons Injured by Nephew in Tripura

In a shocking incident, a couple was brutally murdered in front of their two sons, who were also severely injured in the attack.

The incident occurred last night in the Deendayal Chowmuhani area, under the Bishalgarh police station in Sepahijala district.

According to one of the injured son, a violent altercation broke out between Bipul Das and his nephew, Ajanta Das. The argument escalated into a physical fight. When he along with his mother and brother intervened to protect his father Bipul Das as their nephew Ajanta allegedly attacked them as well with a sharp weapon.

Meanwhile, critically injured Shimu Das, wife of the deceased, was referred to GBP Hospital in Agartala but succumbed to her injuries on the way. Their two injured sons are also currently undergoing treatment at GBP Hospital.

In response to the brutal attack, an angry mob vandalized the accused’s house and vehicle.

BJ Reddy, Superintendent of Police of Sepahijala district, visited the crime spot. The police and forensic team had launched an investigation and arrested two persons, including the prime accused.
