Tension prevails in Doomdooma in Eastern Assam’s Tinsukia district following violent clashes between two groups at Borhapjan.
The clash occurred after irate protesters blocked the National Highway-37 protesting against circulation of offensive posts in Facebook.
More than 20 people have been injured in the clash with several vehicles vandalized. Meanwhile, police resorted to blank firing to disperse the irate mob.
