Vineet Bagaria case: Sister of prime accused detained

Saira Khan has been detained in connection to a different case wherein she allegedly extorted money from a woman.

In a fresh development concerning the Vineet Bagaria suicide case, the Assam Police has now detained the sister of prime accused Baidullah Khan.

As per reports, Baidullah’s sister, Saira Khan has been detained in connection to a different case wherein she allegedly extorted money from a woman, forcing the latter to sell one of her kidneys.

It is learned that a woman identified as Meenu Begum had borrowed money from Baidullah’s father Abdula Khan.

However, when she could not pay back the amount, Saira allegedly threatened Meenu and her family with dire consequences. With no options at her disposal, Meenu Begum sold one of her kidneys to clear the debt.

Meenu’s family had also reportedly approached the Dibrugarh police for help in 2020. But, no action was taken by the authorities back then.
