Veteran actor Kader Khan, who took over the 80s and 90s with his impeccable comic timing, is no more.
The veteran actor and screenwriter breathed his last on Tuesday at a hospital in Canada. He was 81.
His last rites will be performed in Canada, his son stated, after confirming the news of the veteran actor’s demise.
The actor was hospitalised recently after reportedly suffering from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a degenerative disease that causes loss of balance, difficulty in walking and dementia.
Kader Khan had developed breathing issues and the doctors had reportedly transferred him from regular ventilator to BiPAP ventilator.
While many remember the actor for his perfect comic timing, not many know that he was dialogue writer too. Actor Amitabh Bachchan has mouthed many of the famous dialogues written by Khan.
Kader Khan, who was born in Kabul, made his debut in acting with Daag, starring Rajesh Khanna in the lead role in 1973. Later, Khan went on to work in over 300 films, spanning several decades.
