UP’s King George’s Medical University Introduces Gold Medal Named After Tripura CM Manik Saha

The university has officially informed the Tripura CM through a letter, stating that the gold medal has been instituted following his visit.
King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Uttar Pradesh, has announced the launch of a prestigious gold medal in the name of Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha, recognising his contributions to the field of dental sciences.
Dr. Saha, an alumnus of KGMU, expressed his gratitude on X, calling it a “nostalgic moment.” He wrote, “King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, my alma mater, has instituted a Gold Medal in my name for meritorious students excelling in Dental Sciences. I thank the entire KGMU fraternity for this honour.”
The university has officially informed the Tripura CM through a letter, stating that the gold medal has been instituted following his visit to the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Faculty of Dental Sciences, on November 26, 2024. Impressed by his inspiration and contributions, the university’s Vice Chancellor announced the launch of the Chief Minister Tripura (Manik Saha) Gold Medal.
The medal will be awarded annually to the postgraduate student securing the highest marks in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery during the university’s convocation.
