Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s 3-day visit to Meghalaya, Assam begins today

Union home minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the Cyber Security Operation Centre or CSOC of the Assam Rifles on the premises of the paramilitary force's headquarters in Shillong today.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Assam and Meghalaya from January 18. Union Home minister will be reaching Shillong today afternoon.
Union home minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the Cyber Security Operation Centre or CSOC of the Assam Rifles on the premises of the paramilitary force’s headquarters in Shillong today.
The home minister will also chair the 71st Plenary Session of North East Council tomorrow at the Meghalaya state convention centre in Shillong and then review the various works of the North Eastern Space Applications Centre or NESAC.
The home minister will also release the North East Council Yearbook on this occasion.
It may be mentioned here that governors and chief ministers of all eight states of northeast are likely to attend the plenary session.
DoNER minister G Kishan Reddy and his deputy BL Verma are also scheduled to attend the plenary session.
After finishing his Meghalaya engagements, the union home minister will arrive in Assam on Saturday.
In Assam, home minister Shah will attend the 61st Raising Day celebration of the SSB at the SSB complex in Tezpur, in Sonitpur district.
Later, Shah will also attend the 13th triennial conference of the All Bathou Mahasabha at Dhekiajuli.
He will then head to Guwahati where the Home Minister will attend the passing-out parade of Assam Police commandos at Sarusajai Stadium..
Later, he will release a book titled Assam’s Braveheart Lachit Barphukhan at Srimanta Sankardeva International Audiotorium.
The union home minister will also inaugurate the Brahmaputra Riverfront in Guwahati later in the day, before leaving for Delhi.
