Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a meeting in Guwahati with Chief Ministers of all North East states and Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, on the implementation of the three new criminal laws in the region. Apart from the Chief Ministers, DGPs of at least 5 states and Chief Secretaries also attended the session. During the meet, each of the 8 states gave presentations to update the Union Home Minister on the implementation of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.
