A delegation of the United Naga Council, which is the apex body of the Nagas in Manipur met Governor of Nagaland & Interlocutor for Naga peace talks, RN Ravi in Kohima on Friday.

According to top sources, RN Ravi briefed the UNC leaders about the current status of the peace talks including the significant development of amicably settling all contentious issues between the negotiating parties.

The Nagaland Governor met the UNC leaders in pursuance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s desire for a comprehensive resolution of the Naga issue taking into consideration the neighboring states of Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.

Ravi also reportedly emphasized on the fact that the Naga issue cannot be resolved in isolation or reach its logical conclusion without taking all stakeholders, including the neighbours, into confidence.
