The United Democratic party a key constituent of the Conrad Sangma led government in Meghalaya has accused the Congress of protecting the people in the Harijan colony over the years and has demanded their eviction from the area and re-settlement elsewhere.
UDP working President Paul Lyngdoh told Northeast Live Editor-in-Chief in a telephone interview that the party would meet Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to discuss the situation and formally place their demand to the state government.
