UDP CEC approves decision to work together with HSPDP for upcoming LS Poll

The CEC has approved the selection of members of the state election committee for the MP and MDC election which will be held in 2024.

The Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the United Democratic Party (UDP) has approved the decision of the Regional Democratic Alliance consists of UDP and HSPDP to work together for the upcoming Lok Sabha (LS) Election from Shillong Parliamentary seat.

Speaking to the press, UDP president Metbah Lyngdoh said that the State Election Committee, which comprises members of the core committee and senior leaders from Garo Hills, will decide on the Tura LS Seat.

He further said that the CEC has approved the selection of members of the state election committee for the MP and MDC election which will be held in 2024.

As far as the candidates is concern, the UDP president also said the party has entrusted the state election committee to look into the matters related to candidature of those who want ticket from the party.
