In a shocking and tragic incident, two youths who were busy playing online games sitting on the railway tracks, lost their lives after being hit by a speeding train in Hojai district of Assam.

The youths have been identified as Aftab Ali and Sharifuddin, both residents of the Bhuyanpatti locality.
Local authorities responded swiftly to the incident, recovering the bodies and initiating an investigation, including a post-mortem examination. This tragedy highlights the severe risks posed by distractions in hazardous areas.
As gaming and technology continue to risk young people’s lives, this incident is a stark reminder of the importance of staying aware of one’s surroundings, especially near railway tracks, where such distractions can have devastating consequences.
