Two sisters abducted from home for rejecting marriage proposal in Assam

Crime against women seems never to end. In yet another case, two sisters were kidnapped from their home in Ambagan, Kaliabar, Assam on July 24.

According to reports, the two girls, one aged 15 years and one married, fell victim to the crime by a gang of four individuals.

The gang, allegedly led by Abdul Hannan from North Phutkalang Majuli village, is believed to have executed the abduction.

The incident reportedly unfolded when the 15-year-old sister rejected a marriage proposal, leading to her becoming the target of the miscreants.

The miscreants, armed with sharp weapons, forcibly entered the girls’ house and took both of them.

The victim’s family has accused Abdul Hannan, Innas Ali, Ziyabur Rahmana and Fuzail Ahmed of carrying out the incident.

A case has been registered in connection with the incident at Ambagan police station.
