Two dead, 3 injured in tragic road accident in West Sikkim

The vehicle toppled 500 feet down at Sangadorji Bhir (cliff) near Rinchenpong Megidara on the Kaluk-Resi Road in West Sikkim

Two people lost their lives and three were seriously injured when the vehicle they were travelling in fell about 500 feet below. The horrific accident took place at Sangadorji Bhir (cliff) near Rinchenpong Megidara on the Kaluk-Resi Road in West Sikkim last night.

Those who died in the accident have been identified as driver Lokesh Thapa, a resident of Patley Bas Darjeeling, and Dhiren Gurung, a resident of Sangadorjee. The three injured persons are Gajen Gurung, Kamal Gurung and Rajen Gurung of Sangadorji.

The injured have been admitted to Gazing Hospital and are undergoing treatment.
