The district administration has imposed night curfew in entire Shillong. East Khasi Hills district Magistrate PS Dkhar taking stock of the tense situation prevailing in Shillong issued a statement enforcing curfew from 10pm Friday to 5 am Saturday in Shillong until further orders.

Meanwhile, Shillong City Superintendent of Police Stephen Rynjah has been injured in the stone pelting incident at the Mopthran locality. In the mean time, police have arrested one person believed to be the main accused in the violence.
