Tripura’s tirade against drugs continues, as the police made latest raids against drug peddlers in the state on Friday.

The police conducted a raid at the house of one Jagatbandhu Mursing, a resident of Taibandal village in Sipahijala district.

About 163 kilograms of marijuana were seized from the  person’s house. The estimate of the seized marijuana has been put at Rs 2 lakh. The operations continued for up to five hours.

However, the owner of the house Jagatbandhu managed to escape before the police reached the spot.
