The Tripura government has decided to hand over all cases related to chit fund scams involving Rose Valley, Basil, Response, I-core and Warish to the CBI.

The cases are currently being investigated by the Special Investigation Team set up by the Tripura High Court in 2015.

It may be mentioned that in 2014, the erstwhile Left Front government handed over 37 cases of chit fund companies to the CBI of which it accepted only five.

Recently the CBI had grilled two former Tripura Ministers Badal Chowdhury and Bijita Nath in connection with the Rose Valley chit fund scam.
