Hundreds of ‘Terminated’ school teachers took to the streets of Agartala today demanding the State Government to reinstate their jobs.
The Terminated 10,323 School Teachers of Tripura took out a rally in the state capital and proceeded towards the Assembly.
The protesting terminated teachers were met with Water cannons, lathi charges, and tear gas shells as the police tried to disperse the agitators near the circuit house.

Protestors also tried to break the police barricades and proceed toward the Assembly.
Meanwhile, several of the protestors were injured in the clash and a few had to be sent to the GB Pant hospital for treatment.
It needs to be mentioned here that today is the last day of the two-day assembly session which began on Friday.
The session is probably the last for the current government as Tripura goes to the polls early next year.
