In a bid to improve the training of cricketers, the Tripura Cricket Association has started a player’s hostel facility in the Maharaja Bir Bikram stadium at Agartala in Tripura.
The 50-seater hostel was inaugurated yesterday by Chief Minister Manik Saha for budding cricketers by the Tripura Cricket Association.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister addressing the gathering said that the state government under the Khelo India scheme of the central government is emphasizing improving the sports infrastructure across the state.
Praising the role of Tripura Cricket Association, Chief Minister Saha, who was once the president of the association said that the class of cricketers being produced here is improving with various facilities being provided along with coaching under renowned cricketers.
Besides, the CM was also felicitated by the president of Tripura Cricket Association Tapan Lodh in presence of other office bearers.
