Tripura registers 55 more COVID-19 cases; tally reaches 750

Tripura on Saturday registered 55 more positive cases of COVID-19, taking the overall cases tally to 750. The 55 individuals who tested positive were detected out of the 1,125 samples

Tripura on Saturday registered 55 more positive cases of COVID-19, taking the overall cases tally to 750.

The 55 individuals who tested positive were detected out of the 1,125 samples sent for testing.

Most of the infected patients have travel history to other States, while few of them came in direct contact with other COVID-19 patients.

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on his official Twitter handle wrote, “55 people found COVID-19 #POSITIVE cases in Tripura today out of 1125 samples tested. Majority of the POSITIVE patients have travel history and others were in contact of COVID-19 patient.”

The Chief Minister has further urged the people to stay cautious and safe.

The state has so far has collected 38,825 samples for coronavirus testing, of which a total of 33,331 samples have been tested.
