In a significant breakthrough, the East Agartala police, in coordination with officials from the MG Bazar outpost, arrested a notorious drug dealer. The drug peddler identified as Sampad Ghosh was arrested from the Pratapgarh area of Agartala on Sunday. The operation was carried out based on credible intelligence inputs. During the raid, police recovered three soap cases containing approximately 35 grams of heroin from Ghosh’s possession. The seized contraband is estimated to have a market value of Rs 5 lakh.
