With COVID-19 cases surging in Tripura, the state government has decided to extend the night curfew from 6PM to 5 AM, which will come to force from Tuesday and will be implemented in Agartala Municipal Corporation and 20 urban bodies.

Earlier on April 22nd the state government has imposed night curfew across the Agartala Municipal Corporation from 10 PM to 5 AM daily.

Addressing an emergency press conference, Health Minister Ratan Lal Nath said, the covid situation in Tripura is better than any other state but cases are increasing daily.

He further added that the state government has taken stringent steps to contain the spread of the virus in Tripura. The Minister also confirmed that the state has already reported cases of the three mutant strains.
