Tripura: Elder Brother Kills Younger Sibling Over Listening Music At High Volume

The victim’s body has been sent to the Melaghar hospital morgue for post-mortem before being handed over to the family.

In a shocking incident, an elder brother allegedly murdered his younger sibling over a dispute over hearing music in high volume using sound box in Sepahijala district of Tripura.

The incident occurred at Dhanmura area of Taibandal under Sonamura sub-division.

According to reports, the victim, Amitabh Bachchan Debbarma, and the accused, Vijay Debbarma, were biological brothers.

Last night, Vijay was playing loud music on his speaker, enjoying himself, when Amitabh Bachchan asked him to lower the volume. This led to an argument, escalating into a physical altercation.

In a fit of rage, Vijay reportedly fetched a sharp weapon from the house and repeatedly stabbed his younger brother.

Amitabh Bachchan succumbed to his injuries on the spot while his wife, who attempted to intervene, was also injured and is currently undergoing treatment in GBP hospital in Agartala.

The victim’s body has been sent to the Melaghar hospital morgue for post-mortem before being handed over to the family.

Meanwhile, the accused, Vijay Debbarma, fled the scene after committing the crime.

A case has been registered and police has started investigation.
