Tripura Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma was in Sabroom where he met the bereaved family of Sukant Chakraborty, who was lynched by an irate mob last month.

Speaking to Chakraborty’s wife and other family members, he assured justice. Dev Varma also handed them a check of rs 20,000.

While Dev Varma was in Sabroom, he also held review meeting with officials at Sabroom Panchayat office and paid a visit to the Indo-Bangladesh bridge which is currently under construction.
