Speaking at Narsingarh in West Tripura, CM Saha dismissed concerns of internal discord, asserting that the coalition is united.
A day after Tipra Motha supremo Pradyot Debbarma suggested his party might reconsider its alliance if key promises were unfulfilled, Chief Minister Manik Saha reassured that the BJP-led government in Tripura remains stable.
Speaking at Narsingarh in West Tripura, CM Saha dismissed concerns of internal discord, asserting that the coalition is united. He added that Tipra Motha MLAs would meet him later today to discuss development issues, highlighting the ongoing dialogue between the allies.
Notably, Tipra Motha, which won 13 seats independently in the last Assembly elections, joined hands with the BJP-led government ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. With a 60-member Assembly, Tipra Motha remains a crucial ally in the ruling coalition.
Saha’s remarks appear aimed at dispelling speculation over rifts, reinforcing that cooperation remains strong.
The upcoming meeting at his residence is expected to address developmental priorities and reaffirm the unity of the coalition.
