Tripura CM Manik Saha Expresses Gratitude After Medical University in Lucknow Names Gold Medal After Him

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha expressed gratitude to King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, for introducing a gold medal in his name for meritorious students in Dental Sciences.

“Those who graduate from King George’s Medical College are called Georgians. Some time ago, I visited the college and was felicitated by the Vice Chancellor and my department, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I cannot imagine a greater joy than seeing top achievers receiving gold medals in my name. It is a matter of great pride for the people of Tripura, and I thank everyone for this recognition,” CM. Saha said.

Earlier, Saha shared his emotions on Facebook, calling it a “nostalgic moment.” He wrote, “King George’s Medical University, my alma mater, has instituted a Gold Medal in my name for meritorious students excelling in Dental Sciences. I thank the entire KGMU fraternity for this honour.”

Saha, a renowned maxillofacial surgeon, pursued his studies at KGMU. Maxillofacial surgery is a specialised field that treats conditions affecting the face, neck, and jaw.
