Tripura: Clash breaks out between BJP & TIPRA Motha workers

CRPF and Tripura State Rifles personnel were also rushed to the area to maintain the law and order scenario in the area.
Clashes broke out between BJP and Tipra Motha workers in Tripura’s Khowai district yesterday.
The incident happened in Mungiakami where BJP workers were reportedly stopped by Tipra Motha party workers from holding a meeting at the town market which was followed by the clash.
BJP Tripura’s Janajati Morcha president Vikas Debbarma and another party worker have been injured in the clash. Police soon rushed to the spot to bring the situation under control.
CRPF and Tripura State Rifles personnel were also rushed to the area to maintain the law and order scenario in the area.
The injured persons were taken to the Teliamura hospital for treatment. The BJP’s Janajati Morcha Vice President Patal Kanya Jamatia visited the hospital and enquired about the injured persons.
