In a positive development, the Tripura Cabinet has announced a new set of initiatives in what will come as a major boost for solving unemployment in the state. These include filing up of posts of teachers, recruitment of lab technicians besides the the creation of a new start up fund in the state.
Tripura’s Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Choudhury made these announcements while addressing the media at the Secretariat after a meet of the Tripura Cabinet on Friday.
As decided in the Cabinet Meet, ICA Minister Sushanta Choudhury announced that a total of 300 vacant posts of post-graduate teachers in the School Education Department will be filled up. This will include teachers in psychology, philosophy, geography and economics with 75 teachers for each subject. Minister Choudhury further added that 175 graduate teachers shall be also be recruited.
The Tripura Cabinet further approved the recruitment of 143 lab technicians in the Health and Family Welfare Department. Sharing this in the press conference, Minister Choudhury also added that 348 special educators will also be recruited.
Meanwhile, ICA Minister Sushanta Choudhury also informed the media that approval for starting the first time Tripura Startup Funds has also been approved by the Cabinet. For this fund, initially the state government shall contribute Rupees 15 crore and fund manager SEDBI shall contribute Rs 10 crore while another Rs 25 crore shall be contributed through fund convergence from different corporations
