A tribal youth, who had visited the Moonpathar Bru-Sangrama fair in Birchandar Manu, South Tripura, was allegedly killed.
The incident occurred late at night on Wednesday when firefighters found the victim in critical condition near the fair grounds. Despite they rushing him to a nearby health centre, he could not be saved.
As per reports, the deceased has been identified as Suraj Reang and he was allegedly murdered while he had gone to attend the Moonpathar Bru-Sangrama Fair last night.
Speaking to Northeast Live, investigation officer Sujit Sarkar informed that the deceased was found in a critical condition by firefighters late yesterday night and he was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical attention. However, he succumbed to his injuries.
Manik Reang, the victim’s father, suspects foul play as his son had injuries to his head and face, suggesting that he was brutally attacked, leading to his untimely demise.
