Tinsukia MLA Sanjoy Kisan Resigns Ahead of Cabinet Reshuffle in Assam

Recently, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that a small expansion of his cabinet would take place at 12 noon on Saturday.
Tinsukia BJP MLA Sanjoy Kisan has resigned from the cabinet of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma ahead of a reshuffle scheduled for Saturday. Kisan held the portfolios of Tea Tribes Welfare and Labour departments in the Assam government.
Recently, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that a small expansion of his cabinet would take place at 12 noon on Saturday, December 7. Reports indicate that three new ministers are expected to be sworn in during this cabinet reshuffle.
The Chief Minister has also hinted at the possible inclusion of a minister representing the Barak Valley. In his comments to the media, he noted that the reshuffle might see the appointment of two separate ministers, although the final decisions will depend on an upcoming meeting in Delhi.
