The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has pulled up the Mizoram government for its “insensitive” handling of the Maudarh stone quarry collapse tragedy and ordered ABCI Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd, the company that was operating the stone quarry where 12 workers were killed following a caving in of the quarry to pay Rs 20 lakh to each of the deceased’s families.
