The Nalbari District Sessions Court has sentenced three police personnel to seven years imprisonment after they were found guilty in a custodial death case in 2002.
The convicted police personnel are sub-inspector Iman Ali, constable Hemanta Kalita and Home guard Mohammed Ali.
The case relates to the death of Arun Sharma, a businessman in police custody in Ghagrapar.
Subsequent to this, the businessman’s wife had moved the court seeking justice while alleging that her husband was murdered.
