Thousands of people today hit the street of Geyzing in Sikkim, demanding provisions for better health facilities in the district hospital of Geyzing.
The massive protest rally was organized by the SPYF that is Sikkim Progressive Youth Forum.
Despite the demands placed by the people to improve the medical facilities at Geyzing hospital, the authorities concerned have been rather oblivious to all the pleas over the years.
Lack of specialized doctors, inadequate workforce and medical equipment in the hospital are some of the problems the hospital is still plagued with.
