Tension at NIT Silchar after student suicide, Dean and his family held hostage

The situation continues to remain volatile at NIT Silchar following the alleged suicide of a student of the Electrical Engineering Department last evening.
Irate students resorted to staging protest demanding justice, and held the NIT Management accountable for the death of their classmate.
