Temperatures in Guwahati, nearby areas to dip to 11 degrees Dec 30-31

The Regional Met Centre, Guwahati has forecast temperature to dip to around 11 degree Celsius and maximum at 24 degree Celsius in the coming 2-3 days

It is going to be a chilly, teeth clattering year end and a New Year for people of Guwahati and its nearby areas. The Regional Met Centre, Guwahati has forecast temperature to dip to around 11 degree Celsius and maximum at 24 degree Celsius in the coming 2-3 days. Temperature on January 1 is expected to marginally go up to 12 degrees. Fog and mist and a cloudy sky is what the Met Department has forecast in the coming days.
Temperatures in Guwahati and other parts of the region have been plummeting to 13-14 degrees over the past few days. Places of Eastern Assam was hit by a heavy shower of hailstorm turning Moran and other places of Dibrugarh into a white sheet.
Sikkim has been witnessing heavy snowfall temperatures dipping to as low as 10 degrees. The Tsomgo Lake in East Sikkim has turned into one huge block of ice – a frozen lake. Tourists were seen having fun with the snow.
Bomdila in Arunachal wore a deserted look with markets and shops shut and people staying indoors due to the extreme cold and dip in mercury.
