The popularity of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was proved yet again after he landed at Telangana today to address a mega rally in Warangal. The Chief Minister was given a rousing welcome by the people of the state the moment he landed at the airport. Hundreds could be seen gathering outside the airport premises to greet him.
Expressing his gratitude to the people of the state, Chief Minister Sarma wrote on Twitter, “The enthusiastic reception at Hyderabad proved how the people of Telangana are fed up with the misrule of TRS government and are yearning for a change,” unquote.
In fact, in his opening remark, Chief Minister Sarma addressed the gathering in Telegu and said it was evident for him to come back to Telangana in 2023, when BJP wins the elections and overthrown the current TRS government.
Notably, Chief Minister Sarma’s visit to Telangana comes in line with the BJP’s solidarity with government employees demanding the state government to withdraw the contentious GO 317 pertaining to public employment, and a new zonal system of job allocation.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sarma said that despite Assam being a smaller state, the BJP government has been continuously working to fulfill promises made during election campaigns, one being the allocation of 1 lakh jobs to the unemployed youth in the state.
He added that the government under Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has however forgotten about the aspirations of people and indulged in nepotism so far as allocation of jobs is concerned. Chief Minister Sarma pointed out that unemployed youths are not being given jobs even when there are vacancies.
Slamming K Chandrashekhar Rao, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said it takes a lot of effort to win the trust of people and build an emotional connect. He highlighted that it is imperative for a Chief Minister to reach out to the people and listen to their grievances. Chief Minister Sarma also lauded the ideals of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for taking India to new avenues of development.
