The health condition of former Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi is now ‘stable’, said Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) superintendent Dr Abhijit Sarma. The superintendent informed News Live that Gogoi is now out of danger.
“He has improved a lot. I feel he is better than yesterday. He is haemodynamically stable. Technically speaking—at present, he is out of danger,” Dr Sarma said.
Dr Sarma stated that Non-invasive ventilation (NIV) has been removed from the former chief minister.
The 85-year-old politician complained of uneasiness on Sunday night, after which he was shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
The three-time chief minister, Gogoi was discharged from the hospital on October 25 after he recovered from the COVID-19 infection and other post-recovery complications after more than 60 days.
